Products Specifications
Sintered PE (polyethylene) filter cartridges offer a low-cost, chemically inert option for filtering corrosive chemicals, electroplating solutions, and process liquids. The porous PE structure provides high flow with good particulate retention, and cartridges are disposable or cleanable depending on duty.
1Product Overview
2Material & Manufacturing
Sintered polyethylene (PE) media offers a chemically resistant, low-cost filtration solution compatible with many acids, alkalis, and solvents that would attack metal media. With pore ratings from coarse to fine and good mechanical robustness, sintered PE cartridges serve water treatment, chemical dosing, and industrial liquid filtration economically.
TOPTITECHS controls sintering temperature and resin grade to achieve the target pore structure, and verifies bubble point and flow rate on production lots.

7Where This Product Fits
In liquid filtration duty, this element removes particulates down to the rated micron level while maintaining high flow and low pressure drop, and its rigid sintered structure backwashes clean for repeated use — a critical advantage over disposable cartridges in continuous processes. Typical duties include polymer melt filtration, chemical and pharmaceutical clarification, and compressed gas filtration where the element must survive high temperature or aggressive media.
In gas service, the same element serves as a sparger, vent filter, flame arrestor, or fluidizing medium. The controlled pore network distributes gas evenly across the surface, producing fine bubbles for aeration, protecting downstream equipment from particulate carryover, and equalizing pressure in storage tanks without admitting contaminants.
How to select: choose pore rating by the smallest particle that must be removed; balance flow requirement against pressure drop using permeability data; confirm media compatibility with the process fluid and temperature; and specify end fittings (thread, flange, ferrule) and dimensions to match the housing. Our engineers can size the element from your flow and viscosity data.
8FAQ
What is the difference between pore size and filtration rating?
Pore size (measured by bubble point, ASTM E128) is the largest pore throat; the filtration rating is the particle size retained at a defined efficiency. For absolute-rated filtration, specify the required rating and we match the pore structure accordingly.
Can the element be cleaned and reused?
Yes. Backwashing with clean solvent or ultrasonic cleaning restores flow; steam sterilization (to 134 °C) is compatible for pharmaceutical duty. Expected service life is typically several years with proper cleaning cycles.
PE vs metal filter cartridges?
PE is lower cost and disposable; metal filters are stronger and fully cleanable. Choose by duty and budget.
