0.6 mm Titanium Fiber Felt for HT-PEMFC

Sintered titanium fiber felt engineered as a carbon-free gas diffusion layer for high-temperature PEM fuel cells (HT-PEMFC) running at 160–200°C. 0.6 mm thickness balances mass transport with mechanical support; 60–80% porosity delivers uniform reactant distribution and stable conductivity under thermal cycling.

Products Specifications

The 0.6 mm Titanium Fiber Felt for HT-PEMFC replaces carbon paper GDLs in phosphoric-acid-doped PBI membrane stacks. Above 160°C, conventional carbon-based diffusion layers oxidize to CO₂, which causes performance drift and membrane contamination. Titanium stays chemically inert across the entire HT-PEMFC operating window, giving a stable electrical contact and long service life.

Why titanium felt for HT-PEMFC?

  • Carbon-free corrosion resistance in phosphoric acid at 160–200°C.
  • Stable contact resistance — no drift across thermal cycles, unlike carbon paper.
  • High specific surface area for platinum or PTFE coating.
  • Conformable under stack clamping pressure — protects fragile PBI membranes.
